Parkinson's, is an ugly disease that takes their mobility, speech, and mind before it takes their life. Many say that Parkinson's doesn't take your life, indeed you don't die from Parkinson's, but all the things that it causes will take your life. In Chet's case it was the bouts with Pneumonia that took him because of the difficulty in swallowing because the Parkinson weakens those muscles also, caused him to aspirate food into his lungs.
Several bouts with this and this time it took his life, but just remember it wasn't the pneumonia that took him, but this terrible disease called Parkinson's.
Through his fight he was strong and brave and a wonderful husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather. A wonderful sense of humor and loved everyone and accepted everyone for whom they were. Never asking, nor expecting more from them.
My Mother-in-law, her brother, both passed with this horrible disease, and now my husband is struggling with it.
Bless him and all the memories that family and friends have of this humble man.
Rest in Peace, we love you.
