Silvia Fernandez was born on October 24,1939 in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba and passed away at the age of 78 on June 12, 2018 after battling Parkinson's disease for over 25 years. Silvia fought to the very end with this dreaded disease while not once losing focus of life.

On 05/08/1966 Silvia married the love of her life, Abelardo Fernandez Sr. in Cuba . They had 2 wonderful children, Jackie and Abelardo Jr.

Silvia is remembered by her sense of humor, love of music, her love for food and never turned down a trip to Atlantic City. Silvia was a wonderful wife, a superb mother, a loving grandmother, sister, aunt, and a loyal friend. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her could see what an amazing person she was. Her gentle smile, her witty sense of humor, and her contagious laughter brought much joy to the family and will be remembered always.
