Rev. David Lord served his country proudly in the US Marine Corp. He received his Masters of Divinity from Ashbury Seminary and served as a minister for 37 years. He wanted to serve the Lord in everything he did. He had a deep desire to help others and had a heart for children and teens. He worked for Coastal Southeastern United Care in Shallotte, NC where he mentored and counseled troubled youth. David put his whole heart into each child he worked with and they all loved him. We can only hope that the seeds he planted in these lives will be cultivated by the Holy Spirit and will result in salvation at some point in in the lives he touched.
Some fun facts about David are his favorite move was BIG and his favorite song was Somewhere Over the Rainbow. He loved to run and enjoyed Kayaking. He also enjoyed community theater and beach music.
David's presence to this world was an asset and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and those whose life he touched. We will see you Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
