Loving wife and mom to three wonderful children and grandma ("Grammie") to two beautiful girls, Julie would often say that she was "blessed," the same word her mother and father often said to each other as they saw Julie grow up to a beautiful woman.

Julie lived life to the fullest ... raising her children, pursuing her passion for cooking by starting a successful catering business, traveling with family and friends, sharing good times with book and knitting clubs ... the life experiences go on and on. She didn't live life ... she embraced it!

Julie was one of a kind, a gentle soul ... someone anyone would feel comfortable being around and know that she really cared about you, even a stranger.

The last picture you see in Julie's website gallery is of a hummingbird she painted recently. The hummingbird is deeply symbolic of love, joy, healing, eternity, and some believe the "wings of a hummingbird flutter in a specific pattern that resembles the number '8' or the symbol of infinity." "In the Andes of South America the hummingbird is the symbol of resurrection." Julie's spirit will always be with us.

We should, and will, celebrate Julie's life each and every day. And we will remember her always.

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep - By Mary Elizabeth Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

I Will Remember - by Sarah McLachlan

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
