On December 20, 2017 we said good-bye to our loving wife, mother and grandmother Joan Bilotta. She is the strongest woman we know living with Parkinson's disease for over 26 years with grace, determination, courage and love. In the end she won due to her belief in God and having an incredible support group of family and friends. She is now is resting, she has the new body she always wanted, no longer feeling the pain of Parkinson's, eating, drinking a scotch with her family and friends, walking, playing tennis and of course dancing.

Christmas was her favorite holiday, partly because red is the predominant color and her favorite, but more importantly it brought family together to celebrate, drink and eat. We will celebrate her life with friends and family this Christmas holiday knowing she will be watching over us.

Joan Annette Bilotta of Somerset, died gracefully on December 20, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Joan was 81. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10AM to 11:30AM at Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Route 206, Hillsborough, Funeral Mass will be said following the visitation at 12 noon at St. Joseph Church, 34 Yorktown Rd., Hillsborough. Born on June 13, 1936 in Brooklyn, to Peter and Julia Geraigiry, Joan lived in Brooklyn, and in 1972 moved to Parsippany, where she lived for 33 years before moving to Somerset. She was a very successful Realtor for 33 years eventually retiring with Weichert Realtor in 2010. Joan was a loving a devoted wife and mother. She was an avid tennis player and dancer. While Joan lived with Parkinson's disease for over 26 years, she lived her life her way, with grace, courage and love. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Geraigiry. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ralph Bilotta of Somerset, three daughters, Susan Bilotta of New York, Julie Bilotta of Charlotte, and Joan B. Harris of Summit, three granddaughters, Alyssa Kappert (Josh Kappert), Cameron and Elisabeth Harris. In lui of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Michael J. Fox Foundation
