Lee Mumma has been in the fight with Parkinson's (PD) since February 4th, 2015. He is a husband to Vickie, father of 3, and has 6 grandchildren.

He has recently retired for over 35 years of service as a civil servant working for the US Navy. He worked on many critical defence projects including stealth fighters, and radar jamming.

After several attempts to take Vickie out on a date, she finally said yes just so that he would stop asking. Lee was able to make quite the impression on that first date since they recently celebrated 44 years of marriage! Through the trials of life, they have both been a great example of how to endure, persevere, and strengthen your marriage.

His love and care for his wife is something that I am striving for in my own marriage. Growing up I remember him going out of his way to bless my mom on special occasions as well as the many "just because" occasions.

Not only does Lee exemplify a love for his wife, but also a love for his kids. I look back and can clearly recall the many times he sacrificed his sleep, time, energy, and money for us kids. Now, he sacrifices these for his grandkids. I cannot think of a more generous person.

All of these great exemplary character qualities can be traced back to his love for Christ. Lee is trusting in the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. His life has not been lived as a way to earn the favor of God, but rather as the result of the great grace of God that has been given to those who trust in Him.

Lee's life is far from being defined by having Parkinson's. Yes, it has hindered some of the normal activities he used to do. However, he knows that there is hope and life beyond a diagnosis.
