To anyone who knows my mom Jenny this is of no surprise to you.
Where to begin, this is not easy to describe someone who means the world to you. To start she has had Parkinson's for 6 years now and to be honest I did not know what it truly was until it happened to her. Every day she spends 22 out of the 24 hours helping someone else, it would be 24 but she is only able to sleep about 2 hours a day.
When she was first diagnosed with this it was a shock to the whole family and none of us knew what was in store for mom and how it would affect her. With my dad being a college football coach for 38 years drama and tense situations have been the norm for our family, so one would think this family would be able to cope with it easier than most. Well we are still learning, the symptoms are ever changing and developing with every day causing us to struggle with how to help. I never knew if i should laugh or get upset when we would be at Wal Mart getting groceries and upon checkout she would tell the cashier "I have Parkinson's" it was as if she was embarrassed if she would shake so she had to tell everyone why. Believe me it was very comical from my standpoint but I never want her to be ashamed of anything as no one ever should.
