It's the classic love story, kind of. Don and I met and dated some 40 years ago as young lovers. He was 23, I was 17. He was my first love. We dated a few months but I never got over our breakup. I thought of him from time to time over the years.
Fast forward 30 years later and we reconnected through a mutual friend on social media thanks to Deb, my best friend. We finally reconnected and it was so pure and natural like we never missed a beat. He has Parkinson's, and it's somewhat challenging but life is a wonderful challenge. I'd never turn back. No regrets. He's my heartbeat for now and always. Tomorrow is promised only to those who face it. Love him madly.
Long story short, make every day count.
Blessings to all.
Update…he passed away this past Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, after a long struggle. I miss him terribly. 🙏❤️
