Kathleen (Katie) Carroll was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California. She attended and graduated from St. Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana. She began a career as a elementary school teacher but quit to raise her family of 8 children. After her children were grown she moved her life to Capitola Village, California.
She kept herself busy with grandchildren, volunteering, artwork, reading, music and travelling. She spent 10 years volunteering at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. She also volunteered at the Long Marine Lab. She loved the sea and to travel. She traveled all over the world in the vein of exploration and broadening her horizons. She loved to take art classes, music classes, poetry classes and she loved to write.
She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She was kind, generous with her wisdom, and very generous with her sense of humor. She will be missed more than words can say.
