Thank you for visiting this page dedicated to honoring and celebrating the life of John Kokolus. Our father left this world on February 2, 2026, after a decade struggling with Parkinson’s Disease. We watched him slowly decline over the last 10 years and suffer immensely over the past year. This was painful and heartbreaking to watch. We pray for a cure for this horrible disease and invite you to join us in supporting The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Every person and family touched by this terrible disease shares an urgent quest for a cure.

My father was born on March 20, 1948, on a farm in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He worked incredibly hard his entire life. He was a small business owner, a published author and one of the first people in higher education to elevate the need for continuing education and distance learning. He possessed a lifelong passion for music and guitars. He found his greatest joy in family gatherings, intellectual conversation, and the pursuit of knowledge.

One of my fondest memories of my father is dancing on his feet in our living room to the record player playing Bob Dylan or the Beatles. We are thankful that he is in a much better place now and know that he is able to play his guitar and dance again finally. We will continue to pray for a cure for this disease and thank you for your love and support.
