Raised in Tribute:
$103.00Mark was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1991, before the public learned of Michael J. Fox’s own diagnosis. At the time, Parkinson’s was a little-known condition, and Mark and his family faced the daunting challenge of navigating a future filled with uncertainty and limited resources.
Upon diagnosis, Mark was told he would likely lose his ability to walk within five years and spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Yet, through a combination of stubbornness and the unpredictable nature of the disease, he lived with Parkinson’s for nearly 27 years before its symptoms fully overtook his motor abilities.
Mark passed away on August 13, 2025—almost 35 years after his diagnosis. His journey with Parkinson’s was complex and difficult, not only for him but for those around him. The disease affects more than just the individual—it places a heavy burden on families, caregivers, and communities.
Despite the challenges, Mark’s story underscores the urgent need for continued research and support. Parkinson’s remains a devastating condition, and it is the hope of Mark’s family that future generations will benefit from breakthroughs that lead to better treatments—and ultimately, a cure.
