$754.70Lifelong teacher and beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Lois Torres battled Parksinson's disease for over 25 years. Early in her diagnosis, her neurologist at Mass General Brigham Hospital had hoped for a cure in her lifetime. Unfortunately on July 10, 2025, Lois succumbed to complications from the disease. While continuing to teach and enjoy many activities early in her diagnosis, the last few years were challenging. The medications became less effective and her "off periods" became more frequent and longer in duration. Despite these debilitating side effects, she remained positive, optimistic and as active as she was able. Her loving husband, Steven, took excellent care of her, to help her remain at home, until her recent hospitalization. Her husband, her son Steven, daughter-in-law Erika and grandchildren Madeleine, Spencer and Cecily are hopeful that by raising critical funds for further research, we can find a cure and prevent further loss to this disease.
