Raised in Tribute:
$1006.00Susan Chen: December 25, 1934- May 26, 2025.
Mom suffered from Parkinson's disease which was diagnosed in 2017. She likely had the telltale signs even a few years before, but it was not recognized.
She had progressive difficulty with mobility, bradykinesia, and dementia.
It really impacted her life and she became bedbound towards her later years despite treatment with medications and physical therapy.
She spent the last 9 months in and out of hospitals and memory care centers. It was very difficult to see the progression.
Throughout this she faced the difficulties with courage, strength with the unwavering love and support of her family.
She passed away at age 90. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter. She is survived by two sons, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She had the hope that one day, the devastations of Parkinson's may be mitigated by research by doctors and scientists.
Your support will advance research, care, and hope for others affected by Parkinson's.
Thank you for being a part of this tribute to her life and legacy.
