Raised in Tribute:
$694.40Raymond “Ray” Kelly passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of May 20, 2025, after an over decade-long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Ray took his Parkinson’s diagnosis in stride, becoming a patient of Mass General Hospital’s Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Clinic. Ray participated in Rock Steady Boxing for a number of years, an exercise class designed specifically for Parkinson’s patients. Ray and his family also educated themselves about the disease through the free literature and monthly seminars provided by the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Ray, a naturally giving person throughout his life, was an ardent supporter of the Michael J. Fox Foundation and decided to posthumously donate his brain tissue to help researchers further their understanding of, and find new treatments for, this terrible disease. In furtherance of Ray’s mission, the family is requesting donations be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation in his memory.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $2 billion in high-impact research funded to date.
