Raised in Tribute:
$1423.55Anthony “Tony” Lynn passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 68. Tony fought a courageous 20-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease, during which he demonstrated courage, persistence, and bravery, even as the disease worsened.
Tony was born on February 14, 1957, to Charles and Sarah (Boyd) Lynn and grew up in Sedalia, Missouri. On May 7, 1988, he married the love of his life, Debbie Hohlt, in Brenham, Texas. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. His greatest joys were his wife and two daughters, and he poured his heart into every moment with them.
Tony graduated college from Missouri State University. He went on to build a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant, co-founding Davis, Lynn & Moots in Springfield, Missouri. His leadership extended beyond his firm, as he served on numerous American Institute of Certified Public Accountants committees, making a lasting impact on the accounting profession.
Beyond his career, Tony lived life to the fullest. He loved coaching soccer, traveling with his family, playing the guitar, and cheering on the Razorbacks. One of his passions was grilling – especially on the Big Green Egg. Whether it was steaks or anything else he could cook over an open flame, he took pride in perfecting every meal. His friends all had a favorite dish he made for them, and if you came to his house, you’d leave full and happy.
Faith was a guiding force in Tony’s life. He was a charter member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Springfield, Missouri, where he often played music for services, using his love of guitar to bring joy and worship to others. He was also a Shriner.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Debbie Lynn; two daughters, Katie Singleton, her husband Kyle, and one expected grandchild of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Torie Lynn of Bentonville, Arkansas; and two brothers, Joe and Doug Lynn and their families.
He had a generous heart and always believed in helping others. In that spirit, in lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor his memory by making a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
The family also encourages anyone who wishes to learn more about Parkinson’s Disease to explore available resources, raise awareness, and support ongoing research efforts in hopes of a cure.
