Leutron Saint-Preux, my GrandPapa, was the foundation of the Saint-Preux family and a pioneer in his Haitian community. I never knew about Parkinson's Disease until I saw him struggle with tremors in his hands and legs, and lose his independence in everyday tasks like eating, dressing, and enjoying music - things we often take for granted. On April 26th, I will walk in his memory and to raise awareness about Parkinson's within the Haitian-Dominican community.
