Marie Elizabeth Rogers of Brewster, MA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 22, 2025 after a 19 year battle with Parkinson's. She was born September 27, 1945 in Boston, MA to the late Arthur and Pauline (Lyon) Tirrell. She married Philip John Rogers on January 5, 1974. Marie worked as a registered nurse for many years before taking on the role of “Mom”. She was active in many youth sports organizations and driving her son Kevin to the numerous practices and games. Of the many roles she held as daughter, wife, mother, sister, Auntie Re, friend, her favorite was being Gammy to her granddaughters. Marie is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Phil of Brewster; her son Kevin (Valerie) of Forest, VA; granddaughters Eleanor and Brenna of Forest, VA; sisters Patricia O’Reilly of South Chatham, MA; Anne DeVico (Paul) of Sandwich, MA; Clare Reilly (Mike) of Ipswich, MA; brothers John Tirrell (Jayne) of Cohasset, MA; Francis Tirrell (James Gavin) of South Chatham, MA; Michael Tirrell (Carlos Martinez) of Old Lyme, CT; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her best friends Marie “Coff” Kelly (Tom) of Walpole, MA and Terry Willey (Barry) of Stueben, ME who were like sisters to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Mark O'Reilly.

Marie fought a courageous battle against Parkinson's with grace and strength. Let's help continue her fight and find a cure! The family is grateful for all condolences and appreciates all donations made in honor of Marie to support the work of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
