Marcia Davidson passed peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Family Partners Home in Ballwin, Missouri at the age of 73. She was born on February 8, 1951 in Iola, Kansas to the late Joseph Mefford and the late Dorothy Mefford (nee Williams). She is also preceded in death by her husband Thomas Davidson and her brother Stevan Mefford.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Tiffany (Michael) Carey, her stepchildren Betsy (Roger Paul) Morgan, Robert (Laura) Davidson, and Amber (Logan) Clary. She was loving Grammy to Taylor Morgan, Trevor Carey, Cody Morgan, Bryce Carey, Elaina Clary, Logan Clary, Kenna Clary, and Liam Davidson. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Mefford, her sister-in-law Linda Mefford, her nieces Erin Mefford and Samantha (Seth) Dean, and was loving great aunt and cousin to many.

Marcia loved her family deeply, treated friends like family, and laughed easily. She adored her grandchildren making each one feel special. She cherished many dogs over the years and treated them at least as good as the people in her life. She provided a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and a big heart to anyone who needed it.

When she was young, Marcia loved to visit her family on their farm in Kansas, having fun doing chores and playing with her many cousins. She spent her teen years attending Kirkwood High School, nurturing friendships which endured to her last days, and creating memories to laugh over.

Throughout her adult life, Marcia could often be found at local restaurants enjoying good Mexican food and a drink with her friends. No matter who she was with, they were the table where everyone was laughing so hard, they were crying. She was also known to spontaneously break into dance especially when her favorite 60’s music came on.

At home Marcia liked to watch her favorite tv shows Good Morning America, The Bachelor, home makeover shows, and game shows to keep her company. She also spent much of her time having friends over, talking on the phone, watching movies and cheering on the baseball Cardinals.

She enjoyed traveling, loved going on cruises, and had many adventures with friends and family. She especially liked making regular trips to Cabo San Lucas where she delighted in befriending local families as much as vacationing at the resort. Marcia’s biggest adventure and one of her favorite times in life was when she bravely sold her house and set out on a 7-year journey traveling the country in her RV before it was a popular thing to do. She loved the outdoors and called Marina Village RV Resort her “little piece of heaven on Earth”. She made many good friends she kept in touch with there and everywhere she went. When she exhausted her wanderlust, she donated her RV to help people who lost their home in hurricane Harvey through Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Marcia selflessly donated her brain for research to prevent others from going through what she endured. She held hope through her battle that a cure is close at hand and in lieu of flowers, would like donations in her name made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
