It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Patricia, who left us peacefully in her home on January 2nd. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Patricia was born in China in 1943, and at the age of 12, she immigrated to the United States with her parents and two brothers, settling in the Bay Area. Her early years in America were marked by a dedication to her education and a strong sense of family. Following in the footsteps of her older brother, she attended the University of California, Berkeley, before earning her Doctorate in Pharmacy from UC San Francisco.
After completing her studies, Patricia moved to Los Angeles, where she met her future husband, Nan Kit. They were married for 53 years and together raised two children, building a life filled with love, dedication, and strength.
Patricia had a deep love for travel and enjoyed exploring the world with her large group of friends, often creating lifelong memories during their adventures together.
Throughout her life, Patricia faced and overcame many challenges, including two separate battles with cancer, which she fought with remarkable courage and resilience. In her later years, she was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a condition that gradually took its toll on her physical abilities. Despite the challenges, Patricia remained a pillar of strength for her family, and she was surrounded by loved ones when she passed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unwavering spirit, kindness, and dedication to her family will forever be cherished.
