Raised in Tribute:
$1979.75Charles Geraci, 73, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away at home on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
Born on September 29, 1951 in Rochester, New York, Charles was the son of Antoinette Barcola Geraci and Charles Geraci. He graduated from the Aquinas Institute of Rochester and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. His time in Austin sparked a deep love for Texas—its weather, lake life, and people—which became his home for many years.
Charles was a true entrepreneur. He began his career in auditing with the state of Texas and later founded his own firm as a Certified Financial Planner. He found great joy in helping others plan for their futures. After retiring multiple times, he eventually settled in The Woodlands, with a second home on Lake Livingston.
However, life had other plans. After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, Charles found a supportive community through Rock Steady Boxing. More than physical therapy, it became a place of friendship and encouragement as he fought back against the disease. He formed lasting bonds with coaches and fellow participants, which he truly cherished.
Charles passed away peacefully, on his own terms, just as he lived. He is survived by his wife, Judy Geraci; his daughters, Andrea (Geraci) Apple and her husband, Matthew Apple, and Pamela (Geraci) Janysek and her husband, Cody Janysek; four grandchildren, Charles Apple, Dylan Janysek, Avery Janysek, and Quinn Apple; and his sister and brother-in-law, Angela and James Kuhn of Rochester, NY.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
