Philip passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Instead of dwelling in grief, we chose to honor his memory by celebrating the vibrant life he lived.

Philip, to all that knew him, was an extremely caring, giving, and gregarious person that touched all the lives that knew him.
He married Evelyn in 1966 and raised two loving daughters. He was totally dedicated to his daughters and grandsons, always helping, and providing his wisdom to them. He would give the friendliest greetings for friends and strangers throughout his day.

Philip shared his love of all sports with his daughter, Lea, and his grandson, Kiernan. He was a softball coach and umpire in Lincroft Little League and later became a Babe Ruth baseball coach to his eldest grandson’s baseball team. Philip was proud that his grandson Nicholas was a Boy Scout just like him.

Philip enjoyed reading literature, doing crossword puzzles, and watching sports. He loved all types of music, especially playing the piano. Philip would read several books a month and enjoyed listening to music from jazz, classical, show tunes to rock. He would often wake his daughter’s up by blasting Reveille, Beethoven’s Fifth or some other classical piece.

Philip loved to stare at the stars and watch the bats flying at night while he relaxed on his deck listening to music. He encouraged his daughters to set the bar high and to never miss the success of each day. He also made a positive lasting impression to so many lives. Philip was devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather - you will always be in our hearts and missed. We love you.

Dad, we thank you for all the incredible gifts you've given us throughout our life - not just the presents, but the love, support, and guidance, and lessons that have shaped us into who we are today.

We would like to extend our thanks to all his friends and family who supported him during his illness.
