In Loving Memory of Robert “Bob” Fesko
January 15, 1936 – October 21, 2024

Robert “Bob” Fesko, born on January 15, 1936, in Liverpool, New York, lived a life filled with family, service, and an enduring love for the outdoors. His journey began with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University, later complemented by a Master’s degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. A dedicated professional, Bob devoted his entire career to Quality Assurance at General Electric, retiring early at age 59.
From an early age, Bob was drawn to service, joining the Marine Corps and the Army Corps of Engineers, where he embodied dedication and resilience. This spirit of service continued throughout his life, reflected in his longtime membership in the Lions Club in Harvard, Massachusetts, and his contributions as a Coast Guard Auxiliary member when he and his wife Judy moved to Longboat Key, Florida, in 1998. With his signature humor, Bob would often greet people with a smile and his favorite phrase: "Another day in paradise."
Bob’s love of the outdoors was a defining part of his life. His dream home in Raymond, Maine, where he and Judy spent fourteen unforgettable summers, was a haven for his passion for nature and community. During these summers, he volunteered with the Raymond Fire Department, leveraging his Coast Guard experience to help establish a water rescue program, a lasting contribution to the community he loved.
Family was Bob’s foundation. His wife Judy, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years, passed in 2020, leaving a big hole in his life. He was deeply devoted to his daughters, Karin Hernandez and Lori Pelrine, and his grandchildren, Marissa and Speed Hernandez and Nicholas Pelrine, each of whom he cherished.
Gardening was one of Bob’s most treasured hobbies, a passion he cultivated as a teenager on the Fesko Family Farm, which marked its 100th anniversary in 2022. Bob was honored to celebrate this milestone, a testament to the roots he held close to his heart.
In recent years, Bob faced Parkinson’s with characteristic strength and grace. Even as his memory faded, he retained his warmth and joy, greeting everyone with a radiant smile that embodied his lifelong kindness.
Bob’s life was a remarkable tapestry woven from love, service, and the beauty of nature. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
