$1118.00Pam was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2012 at the age of 58, and became a passionate advocate to help find a cure for the disease by participating in Research and Clinical Trials. She enrolled in Young Onset Parkinson Disease (YOPD) at Texas Health Dallas and Parkinson's Voice Project. Pam was a mentor, led support groups, and was selected to participate in several discussion panels by The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Using her artistic talents and love for party planning, she became a dedicated fundraiser for Team Fox. Through her fundraising efforts and leadership, over $550,000 was raised to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Pam was invited to award ceremonies in New York City where she met Michael J. Fox and was acknowledged for her achievements.
Always active in sports, when she could no longer play tennis, boxing became her favorite sport. She attended class at Tribe Wellness in Dallas, Texas 3 days a week, inspiring her teammates to never give up. Through exercise and involvement, Pam never gave up.
Her family and many friends will miss her guiding light.
