Raised in Tribute:
$4276.50Michael was a loving husband, father, and friend. Over the last 10 years, he faced all of the punches that Parkinson's could throw at him. What was unique about Michael was that he fought the disease in the same way that he lived his life - with humor, strength, and an intention to make his family proud by never giving up.
Michael became a student of the disease, always Googling and YouTubing to arm himself with the needed information to achieve his goal of continuing to progress forward and hoping that the next day would be better than the last. It would be tough for many to understand why someone would torture themselves with information about an incurable disease but he knew that every extra day lived was what his family and friends would appreciate of him.
That is ultimately what Michael would want everyone to remember about him - his selflessness and his unconditional love for family and friends.
While Michael was not defined by the disease or the period of his life in which it afflicted him, he would love to know that his life helped to find a cure.
With love from his family.
