Michael Wyatt Erb, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on August 14th, 2024 in Woodburn, OR.
Mike was born the youngest of 3 boys to Mary and Leland Erb in Silverton, OR on March 29th, 1957. He graduated from North Marion High School in Aurora OR in 1975 before attending Oregon State University, where he was a proud member of the Beaver rugby team.

In 1989 he joined the Wilbur-Ellis sales team in Auburn WA. As a sales representative, Mike spent his time driving up and down western Washington playing rounds of golf with superintendents and making sure his clients had everything they needed to grow beautiful turf. His sales strategy was to listen to people, cultivate relationships and take good care of his clients. He loved meeting new people and making connections, so much so that you could often catch him making friends with strangers.
Mike met his wife Paula through work. They dated for 7 years and married in 2003. They lived together in Renton WA with their blended family for 13 years before retiring and moving to Woodburn, OR.

Even though, Mike was diagnosed with young onset Parkinson’s disease when he was 38 years old, he did not let it slow him down. He continued to be an avid golfer and a dedicated father and partner. He coached his daughter Maddie’s competitive fastpitch softball team for 5 years and never missed her Hazen High School softball games. After Maddie graduated from high school, he volunteered with the Hazen softball team to coach his younger daughter Becca.

Some of Mike’s optimism stemmed from his belief that researchers would discover a cure for Parkinson’s disease. The MJFF is working hard to make this dream come true. Thank you to our family and friends for celebrating the life of a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Mike was a wonderful person, and he will be dearly missed.
