Raised in Tribute:
$61.80I lost my beloved husband to PD March of this year, 2024. I'm happy we had many years of a good happy life together, those memories were important to my husband when his world became smaller as his capabilities diminished. I made sure there were plenty of photos around of fun times and everyone he loved. His PD was from his Marine Corps years at Camp Lejeune and exposure to toxic substances. He was a truck driver by trade and loved his life's work. When it came time for him to be attended to in a nursing home, I am grateful to the Veterans Administration for the superior care he received. Very near the end of his life, sadly he couldn't swallow anything, not even water. A feeding tube became an option, I chose to do this for him and it was the best decision I could have made for him. He didn't even know it was there, he felt no more hunger or thirst, the nurses kept his mouth moisturized. He was sleeping most of the time and was happy when he was awake. I knew his time to leave this Earth plane was coming soon, it gave me peace to know he was not suffering in any way. A few weeks before he passed, he told me how much he loved me, I will cherish that moment forever. He is now in paradise, healed in the living waters of God's heaven. I know he's driving a big rig through God's amazing universe plotting a course of travel for us when I come join him. Semper Fi my love.
