April 23, 1941 – June 20, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carol Borden Taylor, of Leesburg, Virginia, who passed away peacefully in the early morning of June 20th at the age of 83 due to complications from Parkinson’s disease.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Edward D. Taylor; her three children, James Gouldin, John Gouldin and Catherine Gouldin; her stepson, James Taylor; her grandchildren, Joshua, Adam, Brent, Hunter, Sierra, Olivia and Cole; and her brothers, Harold W. Borden and Peter A. Borden.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who always enjoyed hosting family gatherings and being surrounded by her immediate and extended families and friends. She was passionate about many things, including real estate, which she practiced for 45 years.
Always an athlete, she enjoyed tennis, squash and racquetball, as well as swimming and walking her sweet dog, Layla. She also enjoyed going to the beach, where she relaxed and rejuvenated.
