Raised in Tribute:
$1796.50Born Clifford Webster Blackwell Jr in Fort Worth, Texas 1943, he was a loving husband of 58 years and a wonderful father. Mr. Blackwell worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Once he retired, his health began to rapidly decline. Aside from heart disease, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2017. This severely impacted his movement as well as his speech. Before long, he lost the ability to walk independently without assistance. Mr Blackwell was never the same. Although he continued to live as best he could, his quality of life had decreased substantially. He leaves behind his beautiful wife and three children who are all commited to raising awareness about this disease.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
