Born on June 4, 1936, in Gloucester to Ralph and Edna Gibbs, June's life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and unwavering kindness. She shared 64 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Vincent A. Sutherland, creating a nurturing home on Wheeler's Point where they raised their six children. Together, they crafted a legacy of love and family values that resonated through generations.
June's life was a testament to generosity and warmth. From her days as a telephone operator for Ma Bell to her role as a devoted homemaker, she embraced each chapter with grace and compassion. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she welcomed a foster child into her home during the summer, embodying the true essence of care and empathy.
Passionate about figure skating and community service, June's involvement in organizing the Cape Ann Figure Skating club reflected her commitment to both her passions and her community. Her journey led her to pursue studies at Essex Agricultural School, becoming a proficient Home Health aide—a role she fulfilled with dedication and compassion.
In her retirement years, June and Vincent explored the joys of travel, basking in the serenity of sailing, beach walks, and cherished visits to their camp in Maine. Even as Parkinson's disease posed challenges, June found solace in painting with Bob Ross videos and treasured moments spent at the Rose Baker Center alongside her dear sister-in-law, Mary.

She leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by her daughters Dawn, Deborah, Diane, Denise, son Daniel and late son David, and their families, including numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the apple of her eye.
