$622.95Nicholas Daniel Giatrelis, age 85, of Middleton, MA died Friday, April 19, 2024 after a 20 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Nicholas was the husband of Electra and the son of the late Demosthenes and Caliope (Papadelias) Giatrelis.
Nicholas is survived by his son Daniel and his wife Tammy of Middleton, MA and his son Todd and his wife Maria of Belmont, MA and four grandchildren, Meredith, Nicholas, Julia and Mia. Nicholas is also survived by his stepson Lee and his wife Cathy of Maine and his stepson Jamie and his wife Kristie of South Carolina, and four step grandchildren Stephen, Elena, Connor and Bryson.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his brother John Daniel Giatrelis. Nicholas is also survived by his sister-in-law Nancy Giatrelis of Osterville, MA, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born and raised in Cambridge, MA, he attended Cambridge Latin High School and graduated in 1956. He later received his associate degree from Northeastern University. He then entered the army reserves for three years. He lived in the Greater Boston area throughout his life; his most beloved home was in Somerville, MA where he spent the majority of his years. He was a member of the Masonic Temple in Arlington, MA, and he was a loyal member of St. Athanasius Greek Orthodox Church in Arlington, MA.
Nicholas enjoyed traveling, with many memorable moments in Aruba. He loved watching Phantom Gourmet and was an avid foodie. He was a kind, warm and loving person who always welcomed you with a smile. His sweet and genuine demeanor will surely be missed. May his memory be eternal.
