Raised in Tribute:
$3066.50Mukund passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024 at his home in Medford, MA with his wife, Meena, by his side. In his final days, he listened to bhajans and received cherished messages from his friends and family, many which made him smile.
He was 78 years old, born in Dakor, Gujarat and the second youngest of 8 siblings. He was a loving husband to his wife, Meena for over 46 years. Together, they raised two children, Bindi and Ankur in New Jersey.
He will be missed for his humor, loyalty and kindness. He was an empathetic person, frequently brought to tears by Hindi movies or his kids returning to college after breaks. He enjoyed the simple things in life, such as spending weekends socializing with family and friends over home cooked food while sharing stories and jokes.
For the past 10 years, Parkinson’s disease impacted him in so many ways, but his strong will and spirit kept him fighting until the end. He was able to see his kids establish careers of their own and see his 4 grandchildren, Kahlan, Surya, Micah and Radha, grow, which brought him great joy.
His gentle heart will be missed. His loyalty and dedication will never be forgotten. His integrity and reminder to live life with purpose will be his legacy.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
