Brian was diagnosed with PD at Christmastime 2022. Already he is freezing and suffering falls. He suffers from what his neurologist termed "atypical PD". He does not respond to dopamine medicines like Madopar. He was a keen runner, then a very enthusiastic walker and is now confined to a walking machine . I told him not to let it defeat him. His answer? "I don't recognise that word. It's not in my vocabulary". Despite his ups and downs, he has proved himself true to that statement. I am proud of him and will watch his progress with great interest.
