Raised in Tribute:
$4099.08Dr. John Joseph Stuppy II climbed the Stairway To Heaven in Pasadena, CA on Sunday, March 3, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was sixty-eight years young.
John was born to Dr. Laurence and Mary Stuppy in Los Angeles, CA on April 25, 1955, the youngest of their six children. Since childhood, he was passionate about traveling the world, loved jamming out to music (especially anything with a killer drum solo), and always relished a good bite of food (or, in later years, a well-crafted cocktail.) John loved being in a theater, whether it be to put on a drum performance with his high school band, attend a musical on Broadway, or catch a new movie or two.
He was notoriously driven and self-motivated, and devoted his career to helping students learn, working with leading K-12 edtech companies and running his own consulting business.
John was predeceased by his parents Laurence and Mary, his brother William, and his five beloved German Shepherd dogs, all named Nani. He is survived by his siblings, Henry Stuppy, Laurence Stuppy II, Mary Martin, and Bettijane Pike; his former wife Peggy and their four children, John (Colleen), Thomas (Kelsey), Alli (Mike), and Melia (Yaniv); and his nine grandchildren, Elliott, Mary, Jude, Sophia, John IV, Cameron, Quinn, Anne, and Pearl.
