Daniel Lee Joiner of Clarksville, Tennessee passed away January 24, 2024 at 81 years old. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2010 and never let it take away his sense of humor and quick wit. Dan was preceded in death by his father Carra Greenwell Joiner, mother Virginia Sanderson Joiner, and brother Benson Joiner. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Sharon Pelren Joiner, son Steven Joiner, daughter Shelley Joiner Brown and son-in-law Randy Brown, grandsons Logan and Luke Joiner, and granddaughters Danlee and Lexi Brown.

In his wonderful life Dan (Danny) was honored to serve as Deacon, Sunday school teacher and head of the finance committee at New Providence Baptist Church and then First Baptist Church Clarksville. He met his wife, played baseball and graduated from Clarksville High School in 1961 then attended and graduated from Austin Peay State University with a double major in Accounting and History in 1965. He worked in finance at The Trane Company from 1965-2007.

In addition to his deep love for God and his family, Dan loved watching, playing and coaching baseball, cheering on the Detroit Tigers and reading about his favorite baseball player, Ted Williams. He enjoyed 50s music like The Platters, banana splits and classic cars, especially the '57 Ford Thunderbird. He found true enjoyment in the outdoors, climbing the Tennessee hills and wading in creeks with his family.

The family will receive friends Saturday March 2, 2024 from 2:00-3:30pm with celebration service following at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home in Clarksville, TN with pastor Bill Graham officiating.
