$250.00ROBERT "Bob" CHARLES SANDFORD, 79, of Lakeway, Texas, died on December 25, 2023, from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Robert is survived by his wife, Joan, of 58 years and three children, Robert Charles (Bridgit), Michael John, and Kevin William (Angie). A brother, Kenneth, and a sister, Christine Whiting. Grandchildren Robert Raymond, Michael, Daron, Hudson Elizabeth, Elijah Ayres, and Jacob Elwin.
Robert joined the Air Force after graduating from high school. After four years in the Air Force, he went to work for General Electric for several years. Following electrical trade school, Bob started working as an electrician for IBEW Local 25 on Long Island, New York. He worked on new construction and renovating existing stores in malls throughout Long Island. Bob taught several classes on electrical theory for the Union and refereed Boys' High School Basketball. He retired in 2003.
In 2005, he moved to Sun City Hilton Head, South Carolina, where he played plenty of golf and loved playing softball. He was significantly involved in the First Baptist Church in Bluffton, South Carolina. In 2012, Bob moved to Texas to be near his son Kevin and his family.
