Raised in Tribute:
$128.00It is with great sadness that the family of Vernon Marshall Mabry announced his passing on December 12, 2023 at the age of 80 in Phoenixville, PA. His battle with Parkinson’s Disease in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain and setbacks, Marshall stayed strong until the end with kindness, humility, and grace.
Marshall is survived by his wife, Susie, sister Marlene (Debbie) Trueman, daughter Jennifer (Craig) Monson, stepchildren Chuck Roman and Lisa Roman, and was a proud grandfather to Owen, Zoe, Noah, Tristene, Jeremiah, and Mia. He was born and raised in Texas (attended UT- “Hook ‘em Horns!”), then moved to California where he raised his daughter. Eventually he retired to Pennsylvania after Jennifer moved there, where he could be close to his grandkids and be a part of their daily lives. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be deeply missed at family gatherings and around his Phoenixville neighborhood.
Marshall often said “still here!” as an ongoing “inside” joke that started with his grandson Owen and continued throughout the years. It still rings true today because he lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. Yes Marshall, you’re Still Here. We love you… Always!
