Raised in Tribute:
$378.00Linda J. Lugo lived a full life - she loved her family and every animal she ever met. Unfortunately, Parkinson's Disease created obstacles for her that severely limited her zest for life and she wanted desperately to find a cure. She often said she would not want anyone else in the world to experience this terrible disease. But now, in death, she even found a way to help overcome and beat that. One of her wishes was to donate herself to science in order to help others. She is part of very few who have generously elected and donated themselves to UCLA Brain Bank to study, learn, and help others who are impacted neurologically.
Her husband and children are asking for donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation in her honor instead of flowers, so Linda's dream of defeating Parkinson's can be fulfilled even sooner.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
