My sister passed away November 14, 2023 from Parkinson,’s disease. She was 86 years old and struggled for years, with this disease. In and out of nursing homes, meds that helped sometimes. In the end of her life was painful, and hard for her loving family to see. Irene was so brave, worrying about her family, not herself. Her husband and her family where everything to her. She never hurt a soul, and was extremely generous. In the end, it was her husbands care that kept her going. She couldn’t even feed herself. He was there morning, noon, and night. Before she got this terrible disease Irene was a vibrant woman who kept a tidy house and loved to cook. Then Parkinson disease came on fast, the worst kind. I never thought much about this disease, till it happened to my sister. I just didn’t realize the impact on it has, on both patient who has this, and the family members. I looked online and came upon the Michael J. Fox foundation. Hopefully a cure can be found, thanks to this foundation, so other family’s do not ever have to go through the headache of losing a loved one to this terrible disease. I will always be grateful for my sisters love. She was a beautiful brave soul who fought to live. She really tried so hard to fight this. I hope everyone will give to this wonderful foundation, any amount will help. I feel confident a cure is soon to come. Thankyou for letting me share my sisters brave fight and her will to live.
