Raised in Tribute:
$792.15Dad started experiencing symptoms of Parkinson's disease in his early 80's. We watched Dad slowly become more and more limited by the detrimental effects of the disease. This is an awful disease that not only impacts the ability for people to do simple things they have always done and taken for granted, it can also impact their psychological well being. To see a loved one who was always active, slowly lose their ability to walk, to hold the most basic items, and then have it eventually take its toll on their mental capacities, is heartbreaking.
We are immensely proud of how Dad handled the fight against this terrible disease. We never heard Dad complain, he'd simply say, "it could be worse." Our hope is that one day, research will find a cure for Parkinson's Disease and other families will not have to watch their loved one suffer and endure the degenerative impact that Dad did. Your contribution, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated and will help to find this cure.
We thank you for your generosity and support.
