Raised in Tribute:
$587.75Jeffrey Mark McEachran Sr. age 65, of Sanford, Florida (previously Lantana, Florida) passed away unexpectedly due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease (PD) on August 26th, 2023. Jeff was born in Alpena, Michigan on June 6th, 1958, to Joyce (Minix) McEachran and James McEachran. Growing up he loved riding motorcycles, horses, and dreaming of the next car on his wish list. Jeff attended Miamisburg High where he played the trumpet in the high school marching band.
As he began his career, Jeff became an extremely talented, self-taught master carpenter who quickly advanced to a commercial construction project manager. He opened his own remodeling company called ‘Kitchenovations’ specializing in kitchens and baths. In life and in his work, Jeff had the perfect combination of passion, natural talent, hint of perfectionism, and will be remembered for his dry sense of humor along with an infectious laugh. Jeff would also go out of his way to help family, friends and neighbors with ‘handyman’ projects (big or small) and would most likely accept only a cold beer for ‘payment.’ Jeff’s happy place was his former home in Lantana that he remodeled himself. It had a beautiful backyard, pool and tiki bar.
Jeff was diagnosed with PD at the age of 56 and endured this devastating and progressive disease for almost ten years. He was forced to early retire and move to the Orlando area to be close to his mom and sister, Lisa who assisted him with his day-to-day needs. Even in chronic pain and difficulty breathing, Jeff stayed as active as he could driving his pickup truck, visiting his therapy horse named ‘Roc’ (the two of them were best buddies.) Jeff was tinkering with projects like fixing a riding lawn mower literally up until the day he died.
Jeff’s legacy includes his two sons Jeffrey Mark (Saige) McEachran Jr. and Jared Michael (Kirstin) McEachran whom he co-parented with his former wife and still close friend, Amy (Dean) McEachran-Todd. His pride and joy are his four beautiful grandchildren including Connor Wylde McEachran, Millie June McEachran, Killian Michael McEachran, and Lochlan James McEachran who was born the same day Jeff passed – literally a circle of life moment. Nothing gave Jeff more happiness than seeing his grandchildren (virtually or in person.) They affectionately called him ‘Bop’ which melted his heart. Jeff is also survived by his loving mother Joyce Ann Frantzen, sister Lisa Ann Cowan, sister Diane (John) Wolf, and many nieces, nephews and cousins who he loved very much.
Jeff constantly talked about the amazing research and support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation. I know it would make him so happy to have any of his friends and family support this worthy cause.
