It is with great sadness that the family of Harold(Hal) M Wilson Jr announced his passing on August 4, 2023 at the age of 72. For +6 years, Hal bravely battled Parkinson's disease, during which he demonstrated persistence, courage, compassion and faith even as the disease intensified. Hal’s family was his number one priority, and he took being a husband and father very seriously. He left work at work and enjoyed being with Deborah and his sons when he was home. He was an advisor to the employees who worked under his administration. On his untimely retirement due to his health, Hal received many letters from employees who thanked him for hiring them, helping them understand their job responsibilities, and trusting them. The GDOT sent a signed resolution to him in gratitude for his many years of service. Hal loved and loved to attend Atlanta Braves, Falcons, and Georgia Tech football.
