Raised in Tribute:
$1423.50Ken led an extraordinary life, positively impacting the world around him with his integrity and kindness. A passionate community builder, his leadership shone through his roles at church, in the Boy Scouts, and in many other areas. He served with humility and patience, his care for others and inherent kindness shining through, even during his battle with Parkinson's.
Ken received his diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease in 2015 and left this world in 2023. With the support of organizations like the Michael J. Fox Foundation, our family was able to navigate this challenging disease while maintaining the highest possible quality of life. A lifelong runner since his high school and college days, Ken adapted his exercise regimen as needed — from jogging to biking, and finally to walking, remaining active until his final days. He believed in the power of exercise to mitigate the effects of Parkinson's, and it genuinely made a difference in his experience.
Thanks to the breakthroughs in research, diagnosis, and treatment, the quality of life for those living with Parkinson's Disease has dramatically improved. The work of the Michael J. Fox Foundation and other medical research bodies is inspiring hope that even more can be done to extend quality living for those diagnosed with this condition.
As we grieve the loss of Ken, we are hopeful that donations to the Foundation can serve as a tribute to his life and work towards improving the lives of so many living with Parkinson's Disease. Let his legacy be a beacon of hope, strength, and perseverance in the face of adversity.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
