$1737.75Lewis John Kabza was born in Muskegon, Michigan. He lived in many places in the US including Buffalo, NY, Houston, TX, San Francisco, CA, Grand Haven, MI, and Schaumburg, IL. He was proud of serving in the Air Force in Honolulu, Hawaii and serving in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Lew was second oldest of nine children. He was married to his sister's friend Barbara Trautman, for almost 54 years. Lew, or "Lewk" as his family lovingly called him, enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, fishing, spending time with his family on the beach, tinkering and building, sharing his faith in Jesus, and rocking out to music. In January of 2013, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and lived with it for ten years. It did not change his positive, optimistic spirit. Due to the care of his wife, Barb, daughter Michelle, and skilled neurologist, he was still very active, strong, and humorous until the end of life. He is now dancing in heaven.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
