Hi, my name is Tammy Quilliam. I have lived with Parkinson’s for 9 years. I ended up having to quit work due to the Parkinson’s and other health issues. It has been a challenge from the beginning. I have worked through these challenges by doing exercises, this is the one thing that I was told that would benefit me. I joined my first exercise class about 2 years after I was diagnosed. It was beneficial to me but then the Covid pandemic started. I exercised throughout the pandemic but struggled mentally. After about 1 year I started a new exercise class and it has helped me immensely while I was struggling with other health issues. To this day I am still struggling but without exercising I would not be able to do the daily things I do today. I Thank God for my husband Tom, without him I would not be able to go on daily. I also want to Thank Nathan who teaches me and others our exercise class. He has dedicated himself to teaching us exercises that are very important and beneficial to our Parkinson’s. I also contribute my class to the overall well being to the social aspect of our class.
