Raised in Tribute:
$2167.10Jeffrey Berman passed away on March 31, 2023 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. In spite of health issues and chronic pain, Jeff lived a full life and gave joy to his family and friends. Jeff was raised in Rochester, New York. He went to college in Albany, NY where he met his future wife, Diane. After college graduation, they moved to Houston for 10 years, and then to Maryland where Jeff took a job with KPMG, one of the big 4 accounting firms. He enjoyed a successful career in financial consulting, making partner at age 41. Unfortunately a serious car accident resulted in a back injury, forcing him to retire at age 48. Since his wife Diane worked full time, Jeff took on the role of stay at home dad for their 4 children, which he found very rewarding.
After Diane retired in 2013, she and Jeff moved to Hilton Head, where the family had vacationed for many years. They enjoyed their life together, making many wonderful friends. Jeff especially liked playing golf, bridge, and taking care of his dogs. He and Diane loved to travel, and visited several countries on 6 continents. But what Jeff loved most of all was his family. He is survived by his brother Dan, his sister Marla, a niece and 2 nephews. Jeff and Diane have 4 children, Josh, Adam, Annabel and Molly and 4 grandchildren (all under age 5), Lucia, Archer, Leo, and Sienna. Jeff was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, whose family mattered to him more than anything else. He was smart, kind, funny, with a charismatic and assertive personality. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
