Raised in Tribute:
$103.00Roberta Waligorski 6/9/1939-2/20/2023 Born in Wilkes Barre, PA
Mother of two daughters, grandmother of three grandsons and two granddaughters.
She came to New York where she continued her education and dedicated her life to helping others as a registered nurse in the medical field.
Even though she worked hard, she still found time to create lasting family memories. I remember as a child she would spend time helping my sister and I build an igloo in the snow or rake up a pile of leaves to jump in. She enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting and knitting. During the holidays she would help her grandchildren make pies or color easter eggs.
It was hard watching her health decline as she struggled with the ability to complete daily tasks with Parkinson's Disease. We felt we wanted to pay tribute to her and continue to help others in research for PD as she helped others for so many years.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
