In 2009 mom was diagnosed with Parkinson's and retired early to become a Parkinson's warrior. She fought with courage and the braveness that you don't often see. She stayed active by joining virtual walks, walking across China and Texas often leading the pack. In late July 2022 mom was diagnosed with aggressive cancer. She very bravely decide she had enough and succumbed to cancer on November 3, 2022.
