Rayann Dorothy Clark-Golda
September 18, 1945 - October 11, 2022

It is with great sadness that on October 11, 2022, Rayann Golda passed away at her home in Roseville, California. She was the loving wife, sister, mother, grammy, and friend to everyone that knew her.

Rayann was born in Alexandria, Virginia to Raymond and Georgianna Clark. Much of her youth was spent moving from base to base as her father was an officer in the US Army. In 1960 after her father’s retirement, the family relocated to Campbell, CA. In 1964, Rayann graduated from Del Mar High School in San Jose.

While working in an ophthalmologist’s office, she met a patient, Joseph Golda-a meeting that lasted 55 years. In 1968, Rayann and Joe were married in Los Gatos, CA. They made their home in the Santa Cruz mountains adding four daughters to their family.. Rayann was active at the girl’s schools volunteering her time and making their house a home. As the girls matured, Rayann became the office manager for Joe’s State Farm Agency in Los Gatos where she worked until they retired in 2005. They moved to the Sun City community in Roseville, California where they lived until 2021 when they moved to Oakmont of Westpark Assisted living facility. Rayann was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019.

Rayann made friends wherever she went and was loved by everyone that knew her. She took the time to learn about everyone, often asking where they were from, what their family was like and other details about them. Her interest in the people she met was genuine and she cared for them all. Rayann was always the ultimate hostess, cooking and baking for decades of holiday get-togethers.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Golda, her four daughters Myla Herbert (Mike), Elissa McGuire (Mike), Jeri Contador (John-Paul), and Marianne Bruns (Chris). Also, her sisters Laurie Larkins (Greg), Wendy Cunningham (Tim), and sisters and brothers by marriage MaryJo Berg, Louise Bridges (Roger), Richard Golda (Sue), John Golda (Mary McLean) and David Golda (Mary). In addition to her many nieces and nephews, she had five grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

At her request, there will be a private gathering for family in lieu of services. Any donations can be made in her name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease research.
