$278.00On October 4th, 2022, my dear father was taken from us at the age of 77 after battling Parkinsons for several years. He was a fighter to the end. The disease hit him fast, hard, and was unrelentless. It ravaged his body, deprived him of his ability to walk, write, feed himself, and eat solid foods. He went from 200 lbs to 103 lbs. He had numerous falls, one resulted a pneumothorax and a 2 week stay in Shock Trauma where they weren't sure he was going to make it. The last resulted in several stress fractures in his spine resulting in his permanent stay in the nursing home where he passed in his sleep a little over a year later. As hard as we tried, we just could not take care of him at home anymore. It broke our hearts and we visited several times a week. He is no longer suffering and is now reunited with my mother.
