Raised in Tribute:
$1009.00Babe Barnett was born in Lebanon, Indiana in 1944. He was the son of the late Jean Paul Barnett and Kathryn Ann Perry Barnett. He has three sisters: Patricia Adams of Watkinsville, Kay Kneisel of Davie, Fl. & Paula Ellis of Centre, AL, four children, and ten grandchildren.
Babe was full of life. He was always the first to turn on a baseball game, to jump at the chance to explore a new place, or to spend time with his family. He saw joy and opportunity in everything and collected those moments like he collected his soda bottles.
Throughout his entire life, Babe was a self-employed, successful businessman. A serial entrepreneur. He greeted the world with ambition and saw the world as being able to be changed if he only took the initiative to do so. Whatever money he earned, he spent taking care of his family – his wife of 58 years, Janice, his four children and ten grandchildren – or giving to those in need. He had a giving, tender heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand giving credit to the Lord to whom he was continually faithful and dedicated to serving.
Babe was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2009 and died in 2022. Even after his death, Babe continues to change the world. His family hopes that they can honor his memory by supporting the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
